Hello Writers!

Have you written today? If not, what are you waiting for? Your stories will only flourish if you give them the time and attention they deserve.

One of the first steps in writing is believing that you can. You only learn to write by writing. Plain and simple.Adobe Spark (97).jpg

Truth be told, your first story might not be a masterpiece. I’m sorry to tell you that. I really am. But no story is written into perfection on the first try. Every writer tells you that drafting and revising is important. They don’t say this just because it sounds good. It is a truth universally acknowledged by writers everywhere.

I wrote my first book when I was eighteen. Rereading it, I can’t help but wonder, “What was I thinking?” Looking back, I’m glad I put it aside. By writing though, I learned about myself as a content creator. I used similar phrases (all throughout the book) and had a couple of plot issues which would have been very problematic if I gave it to a reader (who didn’t know what I meant by that one line by that secondary character). I learned and won’t make those errors again.

My advice…Take your time. Learn about your characters, plot your stories (or have a general sense of where you want it to go), and grow as a writer. Write. Write. Write. You will become a master only by practicing.

Keep Working on Your Stories, The World Needs Them!

Wishing you all the best,

Angela
