Talking Romance With Adele Buck

For those of you who don’t know, I am studying the romance genre for my dissertation. I have made some really great friends and have met some truly amazing people while conducting my research. While attending the Bowling Green Researching the Romance Conference, I met the utterly fabulous and super talented Adele Buck. Adele has been writing romances for some time and currently has an agent representing her and her writing. (I look forward to the day I can say, I knew her when.) Her books will be sold, that is a fact.

Adele took the time out of her day to speak with me on my YouTube channel last month. (She is just the sweetest). A huge thank you to her!

She had a lot of great recommendations, advice, and pro-writing tips for people looking into getting an agent as well as breaking into the romance writing industry. One piece of advice that truly resonated with me was when she advised people to always keep writing. The more you have written, the more you will learn, and when the time comes, more you will have to show an agent/publisher. The mantra “never stop writing” has been playing over and over in my head ever since this livestream. Talk about motivation! Be sure to watch the archived YouTube video for even more writing advice.
